Everything you need to go from sign-up to a live institution website — step by step.
Contact SupportScholix is a Digital Experience Platform built exclusively for educational institutions. It gives your school, college, university, or institute a fully functional website — with built-in modules for admissions, events, faculty, courses, gallery, and more — all from a single dashboard.
You don't need a developer, a designer, or a hosting provider. Scholix handles everything: the website, the hosting, the domain, and the content management.
Scholix is not an LMS, ERP, or fee management system. It is your institution's public-facing digital presence — the website the world sees.
To get started, visit scholix.io and click Get Started. You will be asked to create a customer account with your name, email address, and phone number.
Your customer account is separate from your institution website. One customer account can manage multiple institution websites.
The first step of onboarding collects your institution's basic information. This is used to pre-configure your workspace, starter content, and default module setup.
greenvalley.scholix.io). This is auto-filled from your website name but can be changed. It must be unique and can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.Click Continue once done. Your workspace will be provisioned in the background — this typically takes under a minute.
After your workspace is created, you will be prompted to select a website theme. The theme controls the overall look and layout of your public website.
Changing your theme later will preserve your content (pages, modules, media) but will reset your color and font customizations.
In this step you confirm your website address. Your free Scholix subdomain is already active. If you want to use your own domain (e.g. www.greenvalley.edu.in), you can set that up here or skip it and do it later.
After completing this step, your website is live and accessible at your chosen address. You can now log in to your institution dashboard and start building your website.
Your website comes with a set of pre-built pages based on your institution type. You can manage all pages from Website → Pages in your dashboard.
The media library stores all images and files uploaded to your workspace. Access it from Website → Media.
For best performance, compress images before uploading. Recommended width for hero banners is 1920px.
Customize your website's color palette and typography from Website → Theme Settings.
Click Save & Preview to see your changes before publishing. Click Publish to apply them to your live website.
Each page on your website is built from sections — reusable content blocks like hero banners, feature lists, testimonials, image galleries, and call-to-action strips.
The available sections depend on your active theme. Switching themes may reveal or hide different section types.
Upload your institution's logo and favicon from Website → Theme Settings → Branding.
Modules are the functional building blocks of your website — Admissions, Events, Courses, Faculty, Gallery, and more. Available modules depend on your subscription plan and institution type.
To activate a module, go to Dashboard → Modules, find the module you want, and toggle it on. Once active, the module appears in your sidebar and its data can be added to your website pages.
Deactivating a module hides it from your website and sidebar but does not delete its data. You can reactivate it at any time.
The Admissions module lets prospective students submit enquiries or applications through your website. Submissions are collected in your dashboard under Admissions → Enquiries.
The Events module lets you publish and manage institution events. Go to Events → Add Event to create a new event.
Manage your institution's faculty profiles and departments from the Faculty and Departments sections in your dashboard.
Every Scholix workspace comes with a free subdomain in the format yourname.scholix.io. This is active from the moment you complete onboarding and requires no DNS configuration.
Your subdomain is chosen during Step 1 of onboarding. To change it after setup, contact support@scholix.io.
To use your own domain (e.g. www.greenvalleycollege.edu.in), go to Settings → Domain in your dashboard and enter your domain name.
cname.scholix.io.Custom domain setup requires access to your domain registrar's DNS settings. If you need help, contact your registrar or reach out to support@scholix.io.
You can invite staff members to your workspace from Settings → Users → Invite User. Enter their email address and assign them a role.
yourname.scholix.io/login).Scholix has 11 built-in roles, each with different levels of access:
