Welcome to Scholix. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scholix platform, products, and services ("Services") provided by Nxtgen Technosolutions ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using Scholix, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. About Scholix

Scholix is a Digital Experience Platform designed exclusively for educational institutions — including schools, junior colleges, degree colleges, universities, and training institutes. The platform enables institutions to build and manage their public website, handle admissions, showcase courses and faculty, manage events, and more, through a single self-managed dashboard.

2. Eligibility

To use Scholix, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be an authorised representative of an educational institution or organisation.
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the institution you represent.

Scholix is not intended for personal, household, or non-educational commercial use.

3. Account Registration

To access the platform, you must create an account by providing your institution's details, a valid email address, and other required information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activities that occur under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at support@scholix.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

Each institution receives a dedicated, isolated workspace (tenant). You may not share your workspace credentials with other institutions.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Scholix offers multiple subscription plans, including a free tier. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis in Indian Rupees (₹). By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your designated payment method.

• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' prior notice.
• Failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of your account.
• Taxes applicable under Indian law (including GST) will be added where required.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Scholix only for lawful purposes related to your institution's legitimate educational and administrative activities. You must not:

• Upload or publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes any third-party rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another institution's data.
• Use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or stress-test the platform without our written consent.
• Misrepresent your institution's identity or affiliation.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this policy without prior notice.

6. Content Ownership

Your content: You retain full ownership of all content you upload to Scholix — including text, images, documents, and media. By uploading content, you grant Nxtgen Technosolutions a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

Our platform: All software, design, code, trademarks, and intellectual property underlying the Scholix platform remain the exclusive property of Nxtgen Technosolutions. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of platform IP to you.

7. Data Isolation and Privacy

Each institution on Scholix operates in a fully isolated database environment. Your institution's data is never shared with, or accessible by, other institutions on the platform. We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your data.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Scholix, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Domain and Hosting

Every Scholix account includes a free subdomain (e.g. yourinstitution.scholix.io). You may also connect a custom domain subject to your subscription plan. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any custom domain you connect to Scholix. We are not responsible for domain registration, renewal, or expiry managed outside of our platform.

9. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability of the Scholix platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free access. Scheduled maintenance, emergency fixes, and events beyond our control may cause temporary downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned maintenance.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

• You breach these Terms.
• Your subscription payment fails and is not resolved within the grace period.
• Your account is found to be involved in fraudulent or illegal activity.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@scholix.io. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, during which you may request an export.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nxtgen Technosolutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Scholix platform — including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or reputation. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the three months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Scholix platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, notify you by email or through an in-platform notice. Your continued use of the Services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
